The Pod
The special home of the Sackboy makes a return in LittleBigPlanet Karting, but with a new look and enhanced features. The Pod is still the game's main hub, but it has been expanded into a large cardboard spaceship. The player can travel between the game's various modes here. Inside of the Pod, the user can customize their experience, from their Sackboy or their Kart. The kart's frame, wheels, and paint can be altered. Any in-game object can also be turned into a weapon.

LittleBigPlanet Karting picks up where Sackboy left off from LittleBigPlanet 2's story. Story Mode will be include, and will feature Sackboy Racing against The Hoard. Sackboy's adventure begins by hopping into a crashed Hoard kart, and takes off after the villains in order to reclaim the stolen prizes.
