1. From the makers of Modnation Racers
United Front Games developed the hit kart racer, ModNation Racers. ModNation Racers focused entirely on the user-generated content of the racing, allowing players to design and create their own custom characters and karts. Characters can be outfitted with decals, skins, masks, facial hair and other details. The track creation allows for players to modify the landscape and direction of the course. LittleBigPlanet Karting offers these same features but within the realm of LittleBigPlanet!
LittleBigPlanet Karting has a plot that follows the exploits of Sack-Boy (or Sack-Girl) as they fight against the selfish Hoard. The Hoard all drive their own cars and gather to attack the Imaginarim. They wish to steal all of the thoughts, ideas, hopes, and dreams that make up the world of LittleBigPlanet. There are a total of 71 story levels, with most of the levels from LittleBigPlanet 2 being revisited. These 71 levels are boken into several eight person races and battle/versus tracks. Also included are VS levels, with timed races and other side quests also make an appearance at various points throughout the story.
LittleBigPlanet Karting includes a robust creation coponent. The only limits to the player's creations are their own creativity. One thing to remember is that all changes and customizations to the kart are purely cosmetic and do not effect preformance at all. That being said, the sky is essentially the limit with tools for creation. Sack-Boys can be customized, along with their karts, and specific tracks. The customization editor is so expansive that there are even ways to create full length games that have nothing to do with racing at all.
Throughout each of the races, players can pick up items and power-ups. These items include pojectiles such as heat-seeking missles, EMPS that can stop karts in their tracks, and grenades. Special power ups can be used to slow down cmpetitors or give your character a temporary speed boost. Players can fire weapons forwards and backwards. Players can defend against homing seeker missles by firing missles behind them. Players can also utilize the series regular grappling hook to cross large expanses and environmental hazards.
Players can race with up to four people locally or eight people online. While the game starts with those 71 tracks in the story mode, players can create, save, and race across a limitless number of created courses. Players can share their created courses with their friends, and do to the expansive limits of the creator, you're sure to come across multiplayer modes that have nothing to do with racing! If there
