The Tag is a gadget specifically used to activate Tag Sensors, Remote Tag Sensors, and other sensors containing matching tag properties.
Tags can also be activated and deactivated if a 
logic output is connect to its 
logic input.

Appearance[]
LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet (PSP)[]
The Magnetic Key consists of a vertical rectangular shape with three metal tabs along each of its sides, and a colored light embedded in its center. The coloured light is lined with a gray rim. The Magnetic Key changes its color depending on what color is set in the Tweak Menu.
LittleBigPlanet 2 and later games[]
In LittleBigPlanet 2, the shape of the Tag was changed to be wider, rather than vertical. The light in the middle is white regardless of what color the Tag is set to. The Tag also has an input that controls whether it is turned on, which is shown by a fading white tab on its left side. When a Tag is turned off, its center becomes black.

When a Magnetic Key is brought to LittleBigPlanet 2 or LittleBigPlanet 3 by importing a collected object or backup level, it retains its appearance from the original game. However, it does not gain the ability to receive inputs from Logic.
