The main protagonist of the series is Sackboy, however as LittleBigPlanet 3 came along, several new playable characters came along; OddSock, Toggle, and Swoop.

LittleBigPlanet

In LittleBigPlanet, Sackboy must travel around Craftworld to stop a new evil, The Collector, from taking over. As you travel around and meet new friends, The Collector starts capturing those new friends, and eventually you must confront him and defeat him. This was the first game in the series, and was praised by both critics and fans alike.

LittleBigPlanet (PSP)

Little

In LittleBigPlanet (PSP), Sackboy is sent by The Mystic to travel around the world to see what is troubling several Creator Curators, as they have not responded to their party invitations. LittleBigPlanet (PSP) has most of the core functions of the first LittleBigPlanet, however is missing some minor ones, such as only having two layers, and not being able to take in-game screenshots.

LittleBigPlanet 2

In LittleBigPlanet 2, a giant mean-looking vacuum cleaner called the Negativitron comes to suck up all the creativity from Craftworld. Sackboy, and several other characters along the way, are invited by Larry Da Vinci to join a team titled The Alliance to help stop the Negativitron.

LittleBigPlanet 2 added many new Logic items to the series, which has been a core feature of the series ever since.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita

In LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, a villain called The Puppeteer seems to want to turn the civilians of Carnivalia into Hollows, a soul-less and unhappy husk of a sackperson. It has mostly the same features as LittleBigPlanet 2, with a few additions such as the Memoriser and Rotating Disc, as well as compatibility with the PS Vita's touch screens.

LittleBigPlanet 3

In LittleBigPlanet 3, a new friendly face named Newton forces Sackboy to come to Bunkum, and asks Sackboy to help him stop the "evil" Nana Pud from releasing The Titans. LittleBigPlanet 3 has all the same features as its predecessor LittleBigPlanet 2, but with several new ones, such as 16 layers and the Popit Power-up.
