The Infection one of the bosses that can be fought within the LittleBigPlanet 2 videogame.

It is a disease that is responsible for driving Dr. Herbert Higginbotham to insanity, as well as having infected most of the other patients at Eve's Asylum for the Mentally Alternative. It is also a main boss in the level "Invasion Of The Body Invaders".

Appearance[]

It is made of meanie slime, some have the meanie eye decoration, but most cells including the infection found in the brain uses an orange evil creature eye similar to the Negativitron. Serious cases can be visually seen, with the infected person having swirling rainbow eyes and meanie horns protruding from their head.

There are many types of the meanie infection cells: most of them simply block parts of the body or shoot smaller meanies to stop the immune system from killing them. Some of the infection cells have arms legs and horns. The brain cell is able to multiply itself, and does so when in battle.

Strategy In-Boss Level[]

Before battle[]

After Eve Silva Paragorica has Sackboy come to get their help on stopping an infection that is messing with Dr. Higginbotham, the decide to go inside his mouth and find a way to get to his mind and save him. Sackboy would have to use a white blood cell to help kill off the pink infection. The player should use the grab button to hold onto the white blood cell and to fire at the infection by releasing the grab button. Sackboy would also have to use it as a way to destroy the barriers that the infections has made.

After getting pass the two barriers, Sackboy would have to deal with two enemies shooters that will shoot an infection cells that will try to hit sackboy, which can hurt them (or even kill sackboy; if very low on health). If the enemy on the left is killed, there will be prize bubbles to collect. If the enemy on the right is killed, it will lead to the path where the main boss can be fought. (Just don't his the walls while in that pathway, though.)

Phase 1[]

As you get to the area where Dr. Herbert's brain is, the infection will decide to add some particles around itself before it decides to spin in a circular directions while also hitting different areas on the walls. If Sackboy succeeds in destroying all the particles around it, the player will make it to phase two.

Phase 2[]

In phase two, the boss battle will get a little bit difficult as the infection duplicates itself into two. You would have to do the same thing as you did before, as well as destroying the copy it made.

Phase 3[]

In phase two, the difficulty increases even more as the infection will then duplicate itself into four instead of two. Do the same thing as you did in phase two by destroying the other three copies it makes.

Phase 4[]

The Infection will relentlessly chase Sackboy around as its own attempt to kill them. The sackboy would have to find a way to finish the infection off by destroying the last of it's particles. After the particles are all destroyed. It will make a loud roar, spray pink goop before it dies, as the brain area lits up into white light, showing that the infection is gone for good and Dr. Herbert Higginbotham is saved.

Trivia[]

  • In some occasions, the brain area of Dr. Herbert Higginbotham will turn red, as well as the The Infection's light, as it will growl and tries to chase the player and will make lose health or even kill (if at very low health) your Sackperson if it touches them.
    • In phase 2 and 3 in the boss level, the infection will also chase them if Sackboy were to successfully kill one of its copies.
  • The creature was made out of the material called "Freaky Clouds".
