Character Customisation
From LittleBigPlanet Wiki
At the Game Developer Conference in 2007, during the Sony Keynote, two of the directors from Media Molecule demonstrated LittleBigPlanet - unveiling the game for the first time to the mass media.
[edit] Customised Sackmen in the demo
In the demonstration we saw four sackmen avatars.
Alex Evans controlled a sackman made of a different cloth to the sackman in the publicity images, demonstrating that the material that the characters are made of can be customised, and sporting a rather funky motorcycle-daredevil costume of helmet, cape, jumpsuit and shoes:
Mark Healey controlled a sackman made from the same cloth as Alex's sackman, but otherwise unadorned, though during the demo this is decorated with a couple of pink stars on bendy stalks:
Pete Smith, the Senior Producer from Sony, controlled a sackman of a pale-yellow, and wearing a colourful Chinese Dragon-head outfit, repleat with a long tail that trailed and flapped around as he ran.
Lastly, Phil Harrison controlled a sackman that Pete Smith referred to as "the girl", but which underneath the outfit (a colourful pink wig, feathers, golden-disc head band, and black dress with pink thread wrapping) seemed to be essentially the same as the sackman in the publicity images.
